Vukovar and Ilok
After driving through the Slavonian plain, we are going to stretch our legs while walking around Vukovar, which is a symbol of homeland defense and war of Croatia. In the adjacent Ilok, which is the most eastern Croatian city, we are going to visit the Ilok Cellars (Old Cellar) while relying on the expert guidance of the enologist. A special name by which Ilok is referred to as a traminer, which is a wine that was served on the English court on Queen Elizabeth II's crown. After that, we are going to continue to Osijek. It is located in Pannonian plain very close to the mouth of the Drava River into the Danube. The city is a blend of old Austro-Hungarian and Croatian heritage which is first seen in architecture, gastronomy, and folk customs - you must treat yourself to the popular salami ‘kulen’, spicy fish stew or rich tasty goulash and the best Austrian style pastry.

Osijek, Kopacki Rit, and Baranja
The adjacent Kopacki Rit is among the most conserved floodplains in Europe. The natural wetland represents an exceptionally important ornithological space situated at the mouth of Drava to Danube River. This region is jam-packed with very attractive vineyards, wine roads as well as paths. Therefore, it is regarded as the best for wines and rural tourism. This can be attributed to the several small farms which conserve and assist the tradition to develop from time immemorial.

Varazdin is a characteristic Central European city which has a little bit of Slovene, Austrian, and Hungarian charm. It was the first Croatian capital. Today, it is synonymous with Baroque owing to its rich baroque architecture plus the popular festival of baroque music. It is a pacesetter in the advancement of tourism in continental Croatia.

While on our way to the south, our next stopover will be in Fuzine, which is a small place located in Gorski Kotar, the area that is popularly referred to as the green lungs of Croatia, as 63% of it is covered by woods. The fact that it is encircled by forests and there is fresh air coming from the mountain makes it a perfect place for you to be. Although this is the Croatian highlands in only 30 minutes, we are going to be on the coast.

The coastal road is going to take us up the mountains, thereby giving us wonderful views of the islands. We will also visit Northern Velebit NP and take a short trek to the highest meteorological station in the country and hikers’ mecca from which we can have a great view of the entire wilderness.
We are going to drop in a pastoral valley which has a quiet river at its center. As you paddle gently in the canoe, you will hear only your own breathing, birds flipping, and ducks splashing around you. In only one day, you are going to change three climates. Therefore, you will be healthy tired and pleased to fall asleep easily and have a sound sleep.

The amounts of historic remains you are going to find here are terrifying. Based on the solid foundations of the very rich past, Zadar provides a very lively contemporary life today. You are going to find out all these when you embark on a private tour of the city. Split and Trogir
In the morning, after driving along the coastal road with wonderful views of the nearby islands, we are going to take a walk across the length and breadth of the 2000-year-old Trogir. You are going to be carried away with that ‘hide and seek’ maze of historic buildings and narrow streets.
Take a few minutes to drive to Split where a local specialist will be on hand to take you for a walking city tour during which you will not only discover the popular Diocletian palace but also you will know about the present time of this active Mediterranean city. It is very easy for you to climb the close-by park-wood Marjan hill so as to see the way the city is located on the shore protected by the rough hills in the countryside. It is definitely worthwhile to visit Klis castle, where the Game of Thrones was shot, irrespective of whether you are its fan or not. We will also pay a visit to the nearby Salona, which is a well-conserved archeological site of Romans.

Omis and Ston
Our next tourist delight is a small town of Omis which is at the mouth of the River Cetina beneath the rocky cliff. Omis was once regarded as a pirate site owing to the fact that whenever the pirates robbed in small boats in the past, they rode to hide deep into the canyon. However, its current position in which rivers, sea, and mountains meet in one place makes it a tourist destination which offers unlimited opportunities for a memorable holiday.
On our way to the admirable hotspot Dubrovnik, it would be a great pity to miss Ston, which is also known as the mecca for all lovers of oyster and seafood. A short, pleasurable walk along the Walls of Ston will prompt you to have a walk on the Walls of Dubrovnik.
